Lord, do you know what your Followers are saying and doing?

Lord, I'm confused by what many of your followers say and do.

• Did you tell them to execute people in cold blood and laugh about it when they botch it?
• Did you tell them to hate the poor if they ask for food?
• Did you tell them to hate people who worship you in a different way?
• Did you tell them to persecute homosexuals?
• Did you tell them to carry guns and shoot anyone that gives them the slightest excuse to do so? It's shocking how proud they are when they do kill someone.
• Did you tell them that they can dictate how everyone else should live and love and to persecute or imprison those who do not comply?
• Did you tell them that the faithful will prosper on earth?
• Did you tell your followers that the Beatitudes no longer matter?
• Did you retract "The Sheep and the Goats?" Most of your followers are not heeding that message.
• Do you really tell Pat Robertson, Glenn Beck and Bill O'Reilly what you want us to know? Their messages are always hateful instead of loving and forgiving as you always were.

 I'm sure you already know all this. The good news is that some of your believers don't believe as they do. But, they make such a loud noise that no one else can be heard...except by you.

Will Christian Leaders Condemn Pat Robertson's Statement About Haiti?

I've been Googling for reactions to Pat Robertson's statement that Haiti is cursed because of a 200 year-old pact with the devil during the slave revolt against the French.  I found responses from MSNBC, the White House and various bloggers.  With the exception of a few bloggers, Robertson is being condemned for his statement.

CBN.com claims that Robertson was only stating an historical fact regarding the "pact" and that the living conditions in Haiti are evidence to Robertson and others that Haiti is cursed.  The statement goes on to praise Robertson's call for prayer and relief aid for Haiti.

Should I assume that Christian leaders and Christian bloggers are silent because they do not disagree with Robertson?  Am I overreacting along with MSNBC and the White House or do Christians really believe that Haiti has been cursed and abandoned by God for the last 200 years?

I was not surprised by Robertson's statement; it was expected.  I didn't expect silence from the Christian community.  How naive of me.

Pat Robertson Attacks Muslims Again After Ft. Hood Shooting

Pat Robertson used the Ft. Hood shooting to again denounce Islam on the 700 Club, his personal platform for making sick prophecies and violent condemnations.  Robertson claimed that Islam is not a religion but a violent political system bent on the overthrow of the governments of the world and world domination.  Robertson urged that Muslims be treated as we would communists and fascists.

For a moment I was confused, I thought Robertson was referring to Evangelical Christians when he spoke of world domination but in this case it was only "the pot calling the kettle black."

Robertson can't see that he is what he claims his enemies to be.  Robertson is everything that a Christian should not be.

But a condition like this will bring about the destruction of your nation. It'll bring about terrorist bombs; it'll bring earthquakes, tornadoes, and possibly a meteor."

And don't wonder why he hasn't helped you when problems begin, if they begin. I'm not saying they will, but if they do, just remember, you just voted God out of your city. • Robertson explains why Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon suffered a massive stroke: "God considers this land to be his. • Calling for the assassination of Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez: "You know, I don't know about this doctrine of assassination, but if he thinks we're trying to assassinate him, I think that we really ought to go ahead and do it. It's a whole lot cheaper than starting a war ... We have the ability to take him out, and I think the time has come that we exercise that ability. We don't need another $200 billion war to get rid of one, you know, strong-arm dictator. It's a whole lot easier to have some of the covert operatives do the job and then get it over with."
